Archbishop Vincenzo Paglia is in Argentina in the second week of November 2019.

He arrived in Buenos Aires on November 5th.

November 6. In the morning Abp. Paglia gave a lecture about the Family and the Church after the Apostolic Exhortation Amoris Laetitia.

In the UCA (Universidad Catolica Argentina) Abp. Paglia and the Rector Prof. Miguel Ángel Schiavone signed an Agreement for a Cooperation between the Pontificio istituto Teologico Giovanni Paolo II per le Scienze del Matrimonio e della Famiglia (Abp. Paglia is also Great Chancellor of the Institute) and the Instituto para el Matrimonio y la Familia de la UCA.

In the afternoon Abp. Paglia attended the opening session of the International Congress of Bioethics at UCA.

In the evening he participated in the presentation of the book Biotecnologia y Judaismo, by Rabby Fishel Szlajen, also Academician of the Pontifical Academy for Life.

Challenges of Life, challenges for families. Abp. Paglia speaks to the Argentine Bishops

Pilar (Buenos Aires), 7 November 2019.- Msgr. Vincenzo Paglia spoke this morning, 7 November, to the Assembly of Argentine bishops, in the city of Pilar. Abp. Paglia spoke to the bishops as President of the Pontifical Academy for Life and Grand Chancellor of the Pontifical Theological Institute John Paul II for Marriage and Family Sciences.

The Academy for Life wants to show the way to medical, scientific, technological development, which leads to humanization and a true culture of life "in the context of a Global Bioethics. The task is to link the respect for life in all its phases and the ecological and human environment as a place where life develops.

As Grand Chancellor, Abp. Paglia illustrated to the bishops the renewed approach of the Pontifical Theological Institute for Marriage and Family Sciences, whose new Statutes were approved by the Holy See.
