The Pontifical Academy for Life or Pontificia Accademia Pro Vita is an Academy of the Holy See dedicated to promoting the Church's consistent life ethic. It also does related research on bioethics and Catholic moral theology.

The Academy was established in 1994 by Saint Pope John Paul II with the document Vitae Mysterium.

The Statutes are approved for a period of five years. I direct that they be promulgated by publication in the daily edition of L'Osservatore Romano and then published in the Acta Apostolicae Sedis, taking effect on 1 January 2017.

From 2016 the President is the Italian Archbishop Vincenzo Paglia.
