The President of the Pontifical Academy for Life, Monsignor Vincenzo Paglia and the Chancellor, Monsignor Renzo Pegoraro, on 28 February took part in the presentation of the Humanities in Oncology Training School organised by the Italian College of Hospital Medical Oncology Chief Hospitalist (Cipomo). The press conference took place in the Teutonic College in the Vatican.

Archbishop Vincenzo Paglia: 'I cannot fail to mention that, despite the prevailing rationalist mentality, there is an enormous demand for healing all around us, which often develops far from the Christian tradition.

Msgr Renzo Pegoraro: 'The Medical Humanities demand - impose - that we look at the person as a whole. And the sick person is undoubtedly medically and psychologically fragile, and needs support that takes on the totality of the problems.
