2nd Roundtable of African Farmers, a pivotal event focused on Improving Access to Technologies for Regenerative Agriculture, taking place on October 8, 2024, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM at the Pontifical Institute Augustinianum, via Paolo VI, 25, Rome.

Building on the success of the first Roundtable, this year’s discussions will delve into the technologies enabling regenerative agriculture in Africa and the barriers hindering their widespread adoption. The event will feature insightful contributions from farmer leaders across Africa, policy experts, and innovators, exploring strategies to enhance agricultural sustainability and food security across the continent.

This is a joint initiative by Pontifical Academy for Life, Bayer, World Farmers' Organization, Global Farmer Network, AATF and IICA.

Because we understood that in this hyper-technological era we cannot avoid thinking seriously, scientifically, about the impact that new technologies have on human life and the planet we inhabit. Father Ciucci's concluding remarks: "We need to rethink food systems from a solidarity perspective and overcoming the logic of exploitation of creation to ensure food security and to walk towards sufficient and healthy nutrition for all.
